Decorator, Mommy, Teacher...She Does it All.

There are some moments during my day where I wish I could follow Savy around with a video camera and catch her at her best (or worst) so all the world could see this sweet blessing in action. But I guess some snapshots will have to be suffice (inside joke). She is a whirlwind of entertainment.

After refusing to take a nap for me once again, she called me into her room to show me what she had done. When I asked what this was all about, she told me she was decorating. (I guess her idea of decorating is grabbing everything in the room and tossing it into the middle of the floor.) I'm curious to know where she gets her keen sense of interior design...because it's certainly not from me!!

At the age of 32 months, Savana has turned into quite the mother. She's constantly toting around a baby. And if she doesn't have a baby close by, she'll use her blanket, her sippie cup, the ranch dressing, anything within reach and swaddle it up like her baby. She's even got nursing her babies down. And she even tries to be modest while doing it! (if you look closely, you can see her baby's arm poking up from underneath the nursing apron!)

Besides making sure her babies are well fed, she makes sure they get plenty of rest. She's constantly asking me to wrap her babies up, telling me "Shh, be quiet, baby is sleeping", and asking me if I hear her baby crying because baby woke up.

Then there's the cleanliness issue. This is her "baby daddy" (she's really creative with her baby names..."baby", "dolly", or "baby daddy")...and she's making sure she is absolutely spotless.

And, eventhough she acts like a baby sometimes (she'll even lay on the blanket and roll over for me just like baby Dexter), she also proves to me how grownup she is. While doing her business, I caught her reading the scriptures. When I asked her what she's doing (because she always has the best explanations for what's going on), she proceeded to teach me a lesson out of the scriptures. Her lessons include many interesting things and interesting words, but she always ends by telling me to be a good girl for Heavenly Father.

Well, it seems as though we've taught her everything she needs to know...how to decorate, how to be a good mom, and how to be a good girl for Heavenly Father...what do we teach her during the next 16 years of her life?

What Do You Love About Preschool?

Alright, mom's and future mommy's. I am thinking about doing a preschool in my home. And I want to know something.

What do you want out of a preschool?

Send your thoughts my way. And then I can begin the most fantabulous preschool out there!!!

My Sassy Little Princess

Wow...how do you even keep up with this girl? She wants to be and do everything, from princesses to mommies, from puzzles to books, from hellion to angel. She imitates everything we do, and makes us constantly be better examples. She's already pushing me to be a better person, and I love her to death.

My Little Bubba

Amazing how quickly my heart was wrapped around this little guy's finger. It must be those huge greenish-brownish eyes and sweet little smile he has plastered on his face all day long! He wakes up happy, goes to sleep happy, plays happy, but eats grumpy. (I can't seem to make milk fast enough to keep him happy!) He certainly keeps our house happy!!

winning a tutu

Someday i'll have a moment to sit down and show everyone (a) my adorable children and how HUGE they're getting, and (b) the projects i've been working on that's been keeping me busy for the last few weeks. But for now, you'll have to settle for a picture of the most adorable tutu i'm trying to win. You can try to win it, too. (just don't try too hard). Simply click here.
