The First Hunt

My family was heading out of town on Saturday to vacation in sunny California, so we got the grandkids together on Friday night and had a delicious summer barbecue and an exciting Easter Egg Hunt!

All the grandkids are ready to attack the back yard in search of "treasure-filled" eggs. (Savy's already realizing that boys have cooties and it's important to sit as far away from them as possible.)

Savy caught on rather quickly to the idea of finding eggs. She was very focused and determined as she went around her work of collecting eggs.

That is, until she discovered there was candy in the eggs. And then her determination turned from egg-finding to candy-eating.

The Easter bunny also filled the eggs with goldfish crackers, little toys, and fruit snacks. However, as Savy speedily opened up her eggs at the end of the huny, everything got tossed back into the basket except for the candy. And everytime a candy-filled egg was found, she'd shout out "candy!" and then straightaway shove it in her mouth. Thanks mom and dad for having a wonderful Easter dinner and hunt!
